Public Interest Alberta believes that our provincial government is moving in the wrong direction on seniors care. We need to take action now to ensure that we have quality, public services that are accessible, affordable and effective in meeting the needs of Alberta’s seniors. If we fail to do so, conditions for our seniors will continue to get worse, not better.
There is a better way. Public Interest Alberta strongly recommends the following five steps to address the growing crisis for seniors in the province. This is not a comprehensive program to address all the concerns of seniors care in Alberta, but we believe these initiatives will be important steps in the right direction, and will improve the lives of Alberta’s seniors.
