According to the provincial government, Albertans will be able to review an independent report on the potential creation of an Alberta Pension Plan ahead of a provincewide engagement.
Premier Danielle Smith says the report – created by the independent consultant LifeWorks – suggests an Alberta Pension Plan (APP) could save Albertans billions of dollars each year, with lower contribution rates, higher benefits, and stronger benefit security for families, and retirees.
