The UCP are building their budget and asking for Albertans to answer their survey. We're going to do the same, but do it better. 

We are asking you to help us build a People's Budget that will focus on the things that matter to YOU! We will release the full results and reflect the real priorities of hardworking Albertans.

Public Interest Alberta invites you to help build a budget that puts Albertans first. We will be engaging with Albertans and releasing the full results of our engagement ahead of the introduction of the UCP Government’s budget. 

Tell PIA what you think Alberta’s budget priorities should be, and that the provincial government shouldprioritize spending on healthcare, education and public services and programs to support Albertans now and in the future. 

Alberta is a prosperous province and we know we can invest in Albertans now and for the future. At PIA, we believe that budgets should reflect your priorities, and that budgets should be built with Albertans. That’s why we are engaging in an open and transparent process that will result in a different kind of budget than what we’ve seen from the UCP Government’s in the past.

Your input will be used to build an alternative People’s Budget that will ensure we have a opportunity for Albertans from all walks of life to tell us what they want. We will also release the full results of the survey back to Albertans, unlike the Government’s process. This way, we can trust that our People’s Budget reflects the true priorities of Albertans. 

The survey takes 3-4 minutes to complete.

From there, we will be hosting virtual townhall meetings and inviting organizations to make submissions to our process. Ultimately, we will build a budget, together, that reflects OUR priorities and puts people ahead of risky experiments and handouts to insiders.
